d: "Neon Spot-a-pots? How did they do that?! Why would they do that?!"
C: "Relax baby, it's the reflection from the police car over there. They didn't equip spot-a-pots with neon."
d: "Oh. I'm still taking a picture of them."

Sugar Daddys appears to be able to batter and fry just about anything. They offer deep fried twinkies, moon pies, and candy bars in addition to some delicious smelling funnel cakes.

Home made honey liquor. We didn't try any of that this evening, but the festival still runs tomorrow. We considered going back for more perogies and stuffed cabbage from Ze Mean Bean stand. . .C also expressed great interest in a funnel cake.

C and I ventured to the Ukrainian Festival this evening for a quick beer and a perogie fix. . .Think the weather put a little damper on attendance but like all the Patterson Park ethnic festivals, the food and atmosphere were genuine, authentic, and fun.

The weather was pretty gross today - spitting rain, misty, gray and ominous skies. The sun attempted to make it's only appearance behind my right shoulder as I started taking these series of pics. I think that could very well be the only reason the Key Bridge showed up so well.

The flag that flies over the Fort has 15 stripes. It's said that the gigantic flag still flying over the Fort following the battle is what inspired Francis Scott Key - a local attorney and amateur poet - to pen the Star Spangled Banner.

Grandma: "No they are not pirates."

Gentleman overhearing: "I'm not a pirate, but some of these guys might have been."
Grandma to children: "Why on earth do you think they're pirates?"
