Happy Early Birthday to Me!

Yeah!!! A brand new grown up camera with so many bells and whistles I don't even know where to begin! C got it for a steal because the camera shop was going out of business. That disappoints me as I think we as a society no longer value enough small business owners. I wonder if this camera could make me a small business owner or be a tool to help others. I have a big learning curve and look forward to it.

Indecision

The finished characters wait for me to figure out how to finish them. I'm using Bertrum bunny as the guinea pig and have coated him with a coat of elmers glue diluted with water. I don't think I have the glus to ratio mix right - the paper seems to be crinkling with moisture

Bertrum the Bunny

Bertrum was my favorite childhood stuffed toy. Maybe this art inspired by him will be a hit with my friend's children too. It's not quite finished and I have used about 24 ounces of acetone trying to un-gum my fingers!

Project III

Maxwell the Monkey. Decided to do one more - a frog or a bunny. Fingers are soooo sticky with adhesive spray I'll need to bathe in acetone! Also need to figure out how or what to clear coat them with? Modpodge or some type of varnish? Don't want to screw them up on the final step! Maybe need to set up an experiment with another canvas to test out my options.

Weekend Project

Have a friend who is expecting. Making a little party for her soon. Trying out a mixed media project for nursery wall art (also purchased her something just to be safe!). So far so good. I need mod podge!!
