Snow-ma-geddon #125

Put out a tray of hot coffee, Bailey's, whiskey, the fixins' and some freshly baked coconut-pecan muffins for the snow shovelers on our street. They helped themselves.

They helped the block. . .since no snow plow will do our street.

I'd like to think I helped too. . .

Watched part of a piece on CBS this morning about a family that ultra-downsized. They took the six figure profit from selling their home and donated it.

That's right. They decided to live in a smaller house and donated the profits from the sale of their home to an organization that helps empower folks around the world - growing their own food, being more "efficient" in the process, starting a whole spiral of wonderful positive events for those communities. . .

Did my weak coffee in a fancy coffee press and thermos do something of that magnitude? No.

Was it a small offering of thanks for all our neighbors do to be great neighbors everyday? Yes.

Did we all have a heart-swelling sense of community? I think so.

What a powerful feeling. . .Not for you, but rather for your community.

Small steps toward a world of good acts.
