The Pride of Baltimore II sails around the Fort offering celebratory cannon shots. The Francis Scott Key Bridge is visible in the background.

The weather was pretty gross today - spitting rain, misty, gray and ominous skies. The sun attempted to make it's only appearance behind my right shoulder as I started taking these series of pics. I think that could very well be the only reason the Key Bridge showed up so well.

The flag that flies over the Fort has 15 stripes. It's said that the gigantic flag still flying over the Fort following the battle is what inspired Francis Scott Key - a local attorney and amateur poet - to pen the Star Spangled Banner.
